Fine Artist alexwilson.artist@gmail.com
Bournemouth, United Kingdom.
Inspired by the work of T.J. Clark, The Sight of Death, the travel prize will be spent loyally returning to a chosen location each day of the three trips that I make (Alhambra Palace in Granada, Spain, Messina in Sicily and Old Town, Corfu). I will collect an archive of information. Using written reflection and found holiday videos taken by strangers back in 1997, I intend to translate the spaces that I inhabit from the found footage and the present day through drawing - drawing in all its possibilities. Recording the warm tones, forms, lines and light that floods the space that I choose to take residence in.
